Capturing a Squirrel in Action: Wildlife Photography Tips

Opportunistic captures of this busy little Squirrel. Parked up looking for an access point to the river when I saw it scurrying through a Hazel coppice. The golden rule in a car is to get yourself organised with the camera in position, then lower the window. Be patient, don’t move until you’re sure it has resumed it’s activity un- bothered. Only then make slow adjustments to get into position for your captures.

Managed to capture this one through the tangle of branches in the Hazel coppice in the act of taking a fruit, then when it scurried through a line of pines, stopping to ‘pose’, curious of the shutter sound…oh, for a mirror less body🤣
